Actually I started in Q2, as I jumped the start and hit Ron in the ass, then when I entered pit lane to server the black flag I lost my connection.

That was you?? I thought you jumped the start.

In that case, you win walking away.

Sam, I can make it up to you with a Daytona course with PCC cars... You pick the date.

Nah, don't worry about it, I plan to be in the shop almost every night for the next 3 weeks trying to get the Civic ready for Mid O.

Perhaps we can start TAWOLS 2011 at Daytona.

Regards,

Sam

Possibly, though I just heard at work this afternoon that I may be going back to Waco for a month or so sometime between now and July to do some more work at the diaper factory we built last year.

Let me get thru Mid O and then Gateway the week after and we can see after that.

Regards,

Sam

I am quite happy with my performance as a rookie.

I should be available for any events you want to do Ron.

Neil you did very well. Glad to see people joining us instead of bailing.

You guys all going to be at Mid Ohio on Friday 4/9? I think I'm going to stop up and do DE on Friday.

Neil, you did a hell of a job, I wouldn't call you a rookie (we're all only 2nd year anyways). But you definitely have the chops when it comes to holding off the charge. Something I struggled with. I spent too much time in my mirror.

I felt I did a bit better in the last race there. Hopefully I didn't block Andy too much. I know you went off a bunch but I was hoping it was because you went too far, not that I did. When I knew I was done (coming into Thunder Valley) I moved over and let you by without much fanfare.

Andy

As of now I am planning on arriving on Friday, not sure if I have to wait until school is out or if I am going out myself... new territory here.

Andy, I have garage #7. You are welcome to use it (especially if the weather is crappy). My garage mate will likely be showing up around early afternoon. He takes the "track side" half, so feel free to use the "parking side"

Results and Final Points Posted (please take a moment to verify).

Well, that's another year in the books. Hopefully you all had fun that you might not otherwise have had on Thursday nights during the dead of winter.

Hopefully we can keep enough interest to do it again next year. Though I am leaning towards just doing one 30min race per night with points being assigned to qualifying, maybe laps led, etc.

Since we really like the inverted starts I would invert the qualifying results. Since points would be awarded, the need to qualify at the front would still be there. Thinking something along the lines of:
Qualifying position x 50% + Race Finish = Total Points
- or -
Qualifying position x 30% + Laps led x 5 + Race Finish = Total Points

I also think that we will need to play with the AI factor. At M-O, 105% felt perfect but at Putnam 100% was way to much. What I would like to see is that it is difficult to win against the AI car, not that we can't just that we need to work at it. Again, what I saw at M-O is what I would like at all tracks.

BS!

I just watched the replay. You got punted! That was the most banged up I have ever seen Andy's car, he was hitting everything on the road (looked like me). I think I only truly blocked/impaired his trajectory 2-3 times.

Neil, on the other hand, I cut across the track twice on. Once in Madness after I went off and then in the keyhole after I tried to out brake him.

In the carosel on the last lap???

I did lean all over his rear bumper a few times on the last couple laps, but as I recall that last corner was clean...he went off wide all by himself. That pesky AI guy leaned on me quite a bit and wasted alot of my time...he might have been the one to get the punt.

I think Ron meant turn 12 (before the carousel). I knew you were on my outside, and tried to give you as much room as possible. Going into the carousel I thought you were still there and did not want to turn into you. I guess it is a little slippery off the line in the virtual world as well!

So, yes, I did go wide all by myself. But only because I did not want to crash into Andy.
